Why Visit a Massage Therapist?
Relieving tension, stress, and soreness while also releasing built-up toxins for overall health. This aids the healing process and feels great too.
About Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is type of treatment in which a trained and certified medical professional manually work with the soft tissues of your body — muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin — using varying degrees of pressure and movementused to help manage a health condition, increase sports performance, or enhance wellness.
Massage has been practiced in most cultures, both Eastern and Western, throughout human history, and was one of the earliest tools that people used to try to relieve pain.
There are many different forms of massage, but the techniques that we specialize in at BCW are Chiropractic and Sports Massage. Both techniques aid in healing and optimizing musculoskeletal function and accelerating the process.
How To Know If You Need It
Our doctors and certified massage therapists work together to create the plan of care that best cares for you and your massage therapy needs.
The best way to know if you have spinal subluxations and need chiropractic care is to have your posture and spine checked by a chiropractor.
Dr. Klein will consult with you about your overall concerns and/or conditions, and do a thorough evaluation, including x-rays (if needed) to determine if chiropractic care is right for you. He will then create a personalized careplan that’s customized to your health and wellness goals.

When should I avoid getting a massage?
Especially during the pandemic – but not only – it’s best not to schedule an appointment if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, a cold, or a skin condition that is contagious. Besides, if you have a serious medical condition, massage therapists will recommend that you speak with your primary care provider to get approval first.
What should I expect during my first massage visit?
You’ll fill out a health history form and will be asked about which areas you would like your treatment to be focused on. It is important to list all health concerns and medication you take daily. It’s also important to specify any allergies so that your therapist may adjust what to use during subsequent sessions.
Do I have to be completely undressed? What do you wear for a massage?
You may undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage, while others choose to be nude. Your massage therapist will leave the room so you can undress and lie on the massage table under a top sheet. Regardless if you choose to maintain some clothing or not, your massage therapist will always ensure that you are always properly covered.
Can my pain be controlled without pain medication?
With connective tissue injury, pain starts because your tissue is structurally stressed or inflamed. We can help you reduce inflammation by prescribing circulation exercises to flush inflammatory substances out of the injured area. This in itself will diminish your pain. Then, by rebuilding the tissues and eliminating poor joint biomechanics, we can further diminish your pain or even eliminate it.
